Christy Pedersen is a Senior Vice President and Private Advisor at Rockefeller Capital Management and brings over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry to her role. Prior to Rockefeller, Christy was a Vice President at Whitnell. Her passion is combining her deep investing experience with her love of listening to life stories, goals and aspirations. Utilizing customized and holistic financial planning principles, she enjoys working with clients to help accomplish their unique mission and vision. Seeking to solve each individual client’s “puzzle” through cash flow planning, tax-efficient investment strategy, risk management and estate planning brings her great satisfaction.
Prior to joining Whitnell, Christy spent the majority of her career at UBS Global Asset Management where she was a Managing Director and Head of the Consumer Sector in the institutional equities division. She has also served as a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA-CREF, as a Strategy Consultant with Andersen Consulting and Stax, and in mutual fund administration and portfolio administration with Harris Associates, L.P.
Christy received her master’s degree in management from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and holds a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University. She is a CFA® and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. She is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Chicago and the Financial Planning Association. Christy serves as a Board Member for the Money Savvy Generation Foundation.
