R. Mitchell Theiss to Join Rockefeller Capital Management as Vice Chairman of Strategic Advisory

  • Theiss to Join Operating Committee of Rockefeller Capital Management

Rockefeller Capital Management today announced that R. Mitchell Theiss will join the Firm as Vice Chairman of Rockefeller Strategic Advisory. The addition of Theiss is the latest step in the Firm’s growth as a leading advisor to wealthy individuals, families, corporations and institutions. Theiss will also join the Operating Committee for the Firm.

Theiss brings to Rockefeller more than 30 years of investment banking experience, having served as a trusted advisor to companies across a broad range of industry sectors. He joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he spent 19 years and was most recently Chairman of Global Industrials. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Theiss spent a decade in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. He earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Theiss is the latest in a series of senior leadership hires for Rockefeller Capital Management, which continues to expand capabilities and add talent to its Global Family Office, Wealth Management, Asset Management and Strategic Advisory businesses. Earlier this year, Rockefeller announced that Mark Patterson and Brian Henderson joined as Senior Advisors to Strategic Advisory, bringing extensive investment banking expertise, deep understanding of markets and innovative thought leadership to clients.
