Rockefeller Global Family Office (“Rockefeller”), the wealth management division of Rockefeller Capital Management, today announced the addition of Moon Wealth Partners, of Bethesda, MD, to the firm. The group joins from Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group and will report to Kristen Sario, Southeast Divisional Director of Rockefeller Global Family Office.

Moon Wealth Partners is led by Managing Director and Private Advisor Robert “Rob” Moon, who brings 30 years of wealth management experience to Rockefeller. Moon began his career at Citigroup/Smith Barney and then joined Merrill in 2008. He serves a select group of clients, including executives, entrepreneurs, and private equity partners, providing expertise in stock strategies, option and benefit analysis, liquidity-event and tax investment strategies, wealth transfer, and philanthropic initiatives. He also holds a Certified Portfolio Manager designation (CPM®).

“Rob Moon is a widely respected advisor across our industry, and we’re excited to have him onboard,” said Christopher Dupuy, Co-President of Rockefeller Global Family Office. “With his deep expertise serving the complex wealth management needs of executives and entrepreneurs and their families, Rob is perfectly matched to the Rockefeller culture and business model.”

“We are delighted that Rob will expand our ability to serve the growing number of affluent investors in our region and across the United States who deserve and expect the finest financial advice and service,” added Sario. “He is ideally suited to help deliver the Rockefeller experience to current and future clients in the greater Washington area and beyond.”

Moon holds a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University. A Maryland native, he is involved in a number of philanthropic initiatives, including the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports first responders, veterans and their families. He is also a founding member of the Patriots Hall of Dripping Springs, a permanent retreat and resource base specifically designed to serve the needs of veterans and their families, and the founder of Helpin’ Hands BBQ, a food bank supporting those in need within the Kent Island community.
