David’s decades-long career as a financial advisor spans both bull and bear markets and has provided David with a seasoned perspective on ever-changing conditions. His mission is to help clients create a disciplined strategy for achieving their most important financial and life goals. David is dedicated to delivering hands-on attention and his greatest reward comes from the trusted and long-lasting relationships he has built with clients over the course of his career.

As the leader of Ruben Wealth Partners, David emphasizes team commitment to client service, integrity, and diligence in always doing right by the client and continuing professional education. David is a Portfolio Manager who can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis his own Personalized or Defined Strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, and third-party investment strategies.

David has been named to Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” list in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024.*

Prior to joining Rockefeller, David and his team were at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. David is a graduate of American University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and attended the Securities Industries Institute at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce.

Giving back to his local community is a passion for David and a trait he works hard to instill in his team. He currently serves as Trustee at Suburban Hospital / Johns Hopkins Medicine and was previously the Chairman of the Foundation Board of Suburban Hospital / Johns Hopkins Medicine. He has also dedicated over 30 years of service at the Charles E. Smith Life Communities, where he previously served as a member of the Board of Governors and the Chairman of the Trustees. He is a past president of the Capital Chapter of the American Israeli Red Cross.

David is a family man at heart and cherishes spending time with his wife Carolyn and visiting their three children – all Syracuse graduates – in New York City and Los Angeles. He has a passion for golf and feels fortunate to get to play with friends, family, clients and prospects year-round in Maryland and Florida. At his wife’s request, he has also recently taken up social pickleball. David is always looking to connect with like-minded people and those who share his passions.
