Andrew W. Tate, CFA®

Andrew is a Private Advisor and Managing Director for Tate Wealth Partners at Rockefeller Global Family Office. Andrew has more than 25 years of experience. Prior to Rockefeller, he was with UBS since 2014. Andrew was with Sterling Capital Management LLC where he served as a fixed income strategist, member of the investment committee, and leader of the institutional and retail distribution teams.  Prior to Sterling, he worked in the debt capital markets group at Bank of America.

Andrew is active in the community. He is on the Board of Trustees at Charlotte Country Day School where he serves as Secretary and Treasurer and as a member of the Executive Committee. Additionally, Andrew has remained active at Washington and Lee University serving in numerous leadership roles including Chair of the Annual Fund for five years. Additionally, he was a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award at his 25th reunion. Andrew is also active with professional golf having served on the Host Committees for the 2017 PGA Championship and the 2022 Presidents Cup. Andrew is currently serving on the Host Committee for the 2025 PGA Championship.

Andrew graduated from Washington & Lee University with a Bachelor’s degree of Science with special attainments in commerce.  He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation in 2001.  Andrew lives in Charlotte with his daughter.
