Client Experience Manager

De’Mun Oakley is a Client Experience Manager with Merlin Wealth Management at Rockefeller Capital Management. He joined the team in February 2022, with an eclectic background. He has held several processing positions in the industry for nearly ten years.

A native of Tuscaloosa, AL, De’Mun earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Middle Tennessee State University. Before graduating he studied Music Engineering Technology at Hampton University where he received a scholarship for marching in their band and performing in the symphonic and jazz bands before transferring.

Focusing on the client experience De’Mun leans in where organizational gaps allow for his optimistic and jovial approach to fill voids otherwise overlooked. His experiences include an introduction into finance as Office Facilitator at Lincoln Financial Advisors before transitioning into Operations Processing for two companies now acquired by Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management, Inc. (Triad Advisors, LLC and Advisor Group Inc.) as well as a brief placement as Onboarding Processor with BlackRock.

De’Mun enjoys Stand-up Comedy, Classic Muscle cars from 1960-1972 and barbering. He spends most of his free time with his wife Tanisha, a PhD from The University of Georgia making them an SEC house divided.
