Ed has over 30 years of extensive experience advising and managing high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and middle-market business owners. Ed is an entrepreneur at heart. By 2012, Ed built one of the top Wealth Management businesses and teams in New Jersey and the USA. That year, in a Barron’s article titled “America’s Best”, Ed was ranked as the #1 Financial Advisor in NJ out of a potential pool of 50,000. Currently, Ed is a Managing Director within the Rockefeller Global Family Office. He works at 45 Rockefeller Plaza in the storied family office started by John D. Rockefeller. Ed spent most of his career as a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns Private Client Services, as well as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and a Managing Director at Barclays / Stifel ultra-high-net-worth unit. Most of Ed’s clients are successful business owners that have, or at any time can, monetize their business. Ed and his team, through the Rockefeller Global Family Office, do all the planning prior and after that event. In addition to managing UHNW portfolios, Ed also manages and advises on multi-billion-dollar Institutions and foundations.

Ed immigrated to the United States in 1978 from Kiev, Ukraine (former Soviet Union). He began his career in finance as a runner in the New York Mercantile commodities pits at the World Trade Center, a job that he held while attending college. Over the past 10 years, Ed has appeared on Forbes and Barron’s Top Advisor Ranking lists.

Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Widener University. He also holds a Certified Portfolio Manager designation from The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University and has served as a board member of the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers® (ACPM®) at Columbia University. Ed is a member of the prestigious Economic Club of New York, and Tiger 21. Ed has authored three books titled “Logical Investing”, “Logical Investing: The Fluff, The Bark & The Bite”, and “The Wealth Creation Myth”.

As a community leader, Ed serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Guardian Angels and was awarded the Cyber Angel of the Year Internet Safety Award by Mayor Bloomberg. Ed is a staunch supporter of the Police Athletic League in New York City and a former Partner in Education with the New York City Public School System’s mentoring program. He’s supported and volunteered his time with dozens of non-profits and various community activities in his former hometown of Colts Neck, New Jersey. He now lives in Rumson, NJ with his wife and their three children.
