Garrett Jones is a Private Advisor and Managing Director at The Jones Connolly Pollock Group within the Rockefeller Global Family Office. He has been recognized on *Forbes “Best in State Wealth Advisor” list in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Prior to joining Rockefeller, Garrett spent almost 23 years at Merrill where he focused on providing process driven financial advice to institutions and affluent families. Garrett also oversaw the financial modeling, portfolio structure and risk management strategies for the team’s individual and institutional clients. As a Global Institutional Consultant at Merrill, Garrett was one of a limited number of advisors firm wide who were designated to deliver a range of investment consulting services to institutional clients. He began his career at Merrill as a financial planning specialist for Merrill’s Central Florida complex, where he provided a broad range of advice and guidance to the firm’s financial advisors and their clients.
Garrett received his undergraduate degree in Economics from New College of Florida and graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law. Prior to Rockefeller and Merrill, he practiced labor and employment law for the Orlando branch of a national labor/employment law firm with a focus on employee benefits litigation (ERISA). Garrett holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designations from the Investments and Wealth Institute™.
Garrett is an active member of the community and serves on the finance committee at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, as the Chairman of the Board for Jobs Partnership, and as a board member for the Winter Park Health Foundation. He is also a former board member for Florida Hospital for Children. Garrett, his wife and four children reside in Maitland.
