Jacob Janzen

Jacob Janzen is an Analyst on Merlin Wealth Management’s (MWM) Asset Management business. He joined the team in January 2022 after graduating as a Michael F. Price Scholar from the University of Oklahoma’s Graduate College of Business.

Jacob’s primary role is to support the efforts of the Merlin Wealth Management Asset Management team in the maintenance, management, and structuring of the team’s five proprietary investment strategies. He is responsible for conducting fundamental analysis, risk management, and structuring of the team’s portfolios. Jacob also seeks to further build upon the team’s modeling and valuation capabilities.

Prior to joining MWM, Jacob held internship positions with StarStep Partners in Stamford, CT and Ascent Resources in Oklahoma City, OK. During his time at the University of Oklahoma, Jacob served as a captain for the track and cross-country teams, and holds an individual conference championship, an institutional record, and All-American honors in both athletics and academics.

Jacob holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and a B.S. in Scientific & Quantitative Analysis with a Pre-Medicine emphasis from the University of Oklahoma. He is a proud 4th generation Oklahoman where his family has farmed land since 1910 and is a big supporter of all Sooner sports. He and his wife Evie have recently relocated to Atlanta, where she was born and raised as a 3rd generation Georgian. They both enjoy recreational rock climbing & long walks on the Atlanta Beltline and are active members of their church.
