J.D. Sandfort

J. D. is a founding partner of RSA Family Wealth and joined Rockefeller Capital Management in June 2019. He enjoys getting to know our clients and their families and helping them in all aspects of their financial lives. He obtained his MBA in finance and economics from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He has an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and began his career in public accounting practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers. J. D. was named to Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” list in 2023.*

J. D. is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Charterholder. According to The Economist: “The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation has become the gold standard of professional credentials within the global investment community.” J. D. is also a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), and a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

J. D. lives in Dallas and has two adult children, Weston and Katie. He is a “Big Brother” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and enjoys activities with his fifteen-year-old “Little Brother.” J. D. serves on the Advisory Board of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas and also enjoys serving on the Board of Trustees for Blackburn College in his hometown of Carlinville, Illinois. J. D. began running at the age of forty and has run more than seventy marathons or half-marathons.
