Louis Porta

Louis joined Lahoud Wealth Partners in 2018. With over twenty years of investment experience, he began his career in financial services at Chemical Bank, and then became a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at JP Morgan Private Asset Management Group. Before joining Lahoud Wealth Partners, Louis worked as a Managing Director and Market Investment Director at U.S. Trust (now Bank of America Private Bank). At U.S. Trust, Louis oversaw the investment teams in New York and New Jersey and managed large investment portfolios.

Louis has a passion and a strong commitment for creating and preserving client wealth. Constant gathering of market insights, synthesizing strong research and a disciplined investment process are the keys to partnering with clients to develop comprehensive, customized investment plans. This, coupled with strong wealth solutions aligned with clients’ short and long term goals enable Louis to create total financial solutions. He has witnessed first-hand during his time at US Trust the complexities of multigenerational wealth and the attention it requires to effectively advise clients. Louis’s experience in this area is essential for the Lahoud Team and their commitment to a family centric wealth advising approach.

Louis is a first generation American. His parents immigrated to the United States from Italy. Louis has seen the courage, commitment, sacrifice and hard work of Mr. and Mrs. Porta and assumed the same approach to building his educational, professional and family life.

Louis earned a BBA from Pace University in New York City in 1993, and he earned his M.B.A from Fordham University in 1997. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst®TM (CFA®) designation and the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation. Louis also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® (CAIA®) designation.

In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and soccer and spending time with his wife and two children.
