Matthew M. Richeda, CAIA®, CRPC®, CFP®
Matt joined Rockefeller in 2021. Prior to Rockefeller, he spent almost 25 years at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Matt’s family heritage hails from Campofiorito, Palermo, Sicily and in 2020, after several years of working with The Court of Rome to prove his bona fides, the nation of Italy finally acknowledged his Italian bloodline and allowed him to reclaim his Italian citizenship. He and his two sons have birth certificates registered in the city hall in Campofiorito. In addition to his Italian citizenship he is also an American citizen. Matt values the maternal bloodline to Italy. It serves as a daily reminder of their family’s humble beginnings, the strong efforts put forth by his family to endure ‘a better life in America’, and instills the values of his family.
Prior to his University studies, Matt was taught and trained in the Classics by Benedictine Monks almost all of whom hailed from the United Kingdom and called Ampleforth, England their home. Matt matriculated from the Saint Louis Priory School and later graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He has volunteered as a mentor to scholarship athletes at the University of Colorado. He lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with his wife and two sons. Matt was a ski racer and now enjoys watching his sons compete in alpine events. Matt has a passion for fitness, he lifts weights, trains multisport and boxes with a four-time heavyweight title belt holder.
Matt holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation, issued by the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association®. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certficant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and also holds the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), issued by the College for Financial Planning. Matt focuses on curating wealth management and philanthropic strategies for his clients.
