Michael Anderson, CFA, CAIA is an Investment Advisor and Senior Vice President in the Rockefeller Global Family Office. Mr. Anderson’s experience includes managing portfolios of outsourced investment managers, advising on risk control practices, writing investment policy statements and helping committees and families meet their goals. He is an Investment Committee member of the firm’s internally managed private equity fund-of-fund program, Rockefeller Private Equity Partners, which is focused on small- and mid- buyout strategies.

Mr. Anderson’s previous roles at Rockefeller included serving as Chair of the Rockefeller Trust Company Investment Committee. As Chair, he established investment program policies and procedures for the firm’s Trust Company clients. He also served as a voting member of the Firm’s Manager Selection Investment Committee and was an Investment Research Analyst within the Investment Solutions Group. Mr. Anderson’s research experience has covered strategies within traditional public markets as well as alternative investments that include hedge funds and private markets strategies. He has been an investment resource for advisors and clients since joining the firm in 2012. Before joining Rockefeller, Mr. Anderson worked in the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman Sachs & Co. (Ayco).

Mr. Anderson is a Chartered Financial Analyst ® charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. He has a certificate from Columbia Business School’s Executive Education Program in Strategic Wealth Management. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from Siena College, where he graduated with the highest honors.

Mr. Anderson currently is a member of the Siena College Board of Trustees Investment Committee and Board of Advisors. He enjoys volunteering with The Good Dog Foundation. He lives with his wife in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He likes to ski, hike and compete in triathlons. His favorite leg of the triathlon is the swim. He enjoys taking his “pandemic puppy” to Central Park on weekends for a good game of fetch.
