Rich graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in finance and concentration in accounting. With over 27 years of experience, he was an early adopter of fee-based wealth management, having earned his Certified Financial Planner® designation in 1996 and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® certification in 2012.
As an expert in tax, estate and retirement planning, he has been published and quoted in various corporate and industry publications; he also lectures universities and medical/dental associations, having co-founded the Chicago Dental Consortium in 2002. His investment philosophy is to manage portfolio factors within his control—cost, risk, diversification, taxes and behavior. His clients include professionals, executives, business owners and multi-generational-wealth families, with an expertise in addressing the unique planning of dentists and law firm partners.
Rich has been committed to philanthropy having fundraised in partnership with various charities while running 5 Chicago Marathons. He has been particularly involved with the Jewish United Fund, having been a Young Leadership Division board director and co-chair of the Financial Services and Business Professionals Network committees. He currently serves on the Legacies and Endowments committee.
