Ryan Rockefeller

Ryan Rockefeller has spent the last decade as a serial entrepreneur, inventor, investor, and artist. For the past four years, Ryan has served as cofounder and CEO of Liyo, a social music streaming platform. He is currently in the process of selling the company to Muzik Connect, a smart headphone maker, where he will work while simultaneously attending Columbia Business School’s Executive M.B.A. Program. Ryan has also been an avid angel investor and is President of R2 Ventures, an early-stage venture fund he cofounded with his brother.

Prior to his work with startups, Ryan pursued music professionally, performing in venues around NYC in a band and as a solo artist. He has also been an active student of sculpture and painting. In the nonprofit sector, he sits on the Boards of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and Art21, a Peabody Award–winning organization dedicated to producing documentaries of the world’s most esteemed artists. Ryan holds a B.A. in religion and a certificate in urban planning from Princeton University.
