Alex Petrone Joins Bloomberg’s The Close to Discuss Fixed Income Markets, Noting Valuations Remain Attractive
“Are fixed income valuations attractive today? We would say, resoundingly yes,” said Alex Petrone, Head of Fixed Income at Rockefeller Asset Management on Bloomberg’s The Close. In conversation with hosts Scarlet Fu and Romaine Bostick, Petrone discussed the continued risk-on tone in corporate credit, outlook on the Fed, treasury markets and compelling opportunities in fixed income.
With over $7 trillion still in money markets, investors remain cautious. For those investors willing to look past current headline risks and towards the income and yield in fixed income markets today, extending duration to lock in yield may be beneficial. Though Treasury market volatility persists amidst ongoing fiscal policy and macroeconomic concerns, we see value in fixed income at current levels as a key part of a long-term asset allocation.
