Jimmy Chang on Bloomberg’s The Close – Markets Weigh Government Policy Shifts Amid Global Reallocation
Jimmy Chang, Chief Investment Officer at Rockefeller Global Family Office, recently discussed the impact of U.S. policies on market sentiment and long-term investment strategies on Bloomberg’s The Close. Chang highlighted the short-term turbulence caused by certain policies, stating, “There are some policies that will create some potentially short-term pain, and now we’re getting it.” He emphasized the importance of long-term investing, looking beyond immediate market conditions, especially with the upcoming tariffs on April 2.
Chang anticipates a “reacceleration” in 2026, coinciding with midterm elections, and noted the shift from a unipolar focus on US large caps to a diversified global approach. He pointed out significant infrastructure spending in Europe, particularly Germany, and the potential for international stocks to outperform in a weaker dollar environment. “I think we’ve moved from this unipolar world where you just focus on U.S. large cap to a multipolar world where there are multiple investment themes out there,” Chang explained.
This transition period may signal the start of a broader realignment, offering fresh opportunities for global investors.
