John “Chip” Montgomery

is President of Rockefeller Asset Management International. He is responsible for providing asset management’s strategic leadership, relationship management and distribution across non-US regions including the UK, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He is focused on delivering the group’s long-term plans, including opening a London-based international distribution hub, oversight of the London office and regulatory affairs. In this role, Mr. Montgomery also oversees the firm’s non-US distribution and development of strategic partnerships with global financial institutions. Mr. Montgomery was formerly the Head of Business Strategy and Corporate Development efforts across Rockefeller Asset Management. He was responsible for developing global strategy, focused on the expansion of products and territories through inorganic and organic growth initiatives. Upon joining Rockefeller in January 2018, Mr. Montgomery was responsible for oversight and development of global intermediaries, sub-advisory partners, and European asset owners.

Prior to joining Rockefeller, Mr. Montgomery served as Head of Business Development at Cross Stone Capital, a credit hedge fund. Prior to Cross Stone Capital, Mr. Montgomery was Managing Director and Global Senior Relationship Manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Banking & Markets division responsible for key institutional client relationships, including traditional and alternative asset managers, universal banks, sovereign wealth funds, and GSEs. Mr. Montgomery has also held senior roles at financial institutions such as Société Générale, UBS, and Paine Webber within capital markets.
